“This artwork features an orange centre symbolising a spark or star-like shape, representing the movement for recognition and rights championed by Indigenous communities. Surrounding this core are oval shapes that signify the foundational groundwork supporting this movement.
At the heart of the piece are our Indigenous communities, Elders, and ancestors, who contribute knowledge, culture, strength, and vision, shaping the legacy for future generations. The yellow lines radiate like sun rays, while the surrounding cultural patterns illustrate the rippling effect of this shared vision and legacy"
